Prayer Ministry

We believe prayer is of great importance in a Christian’s life but often gets overlooks. The majority of Christians would probably have to admit that they only pray before meals and for about 30 seconds in bed at night. We believe God has a desire to converse with us more often than that. This is why we are continually looking for ways to give opportunities for people to pray corporately.

Prayer N' Donuts: This ministry will meet the Second Tuesday of every month at the local Dunkin’ Donuts in Morgantown Crossings Shopping Center. We will enjoy coffee and donuts together along with spending time talking and praying for one another, the Twin Valley community, our country and any other concerns brought forward. This is a great prayer ministry for anyone who does not feel comfortable praying out loud. Join us, hang out with us, and once you feel comfortable join in.

Sunday Morning 8:30 AM: Every Sunday morning a group of people meet to pray for God to move in our worship service. We want to have the Holy Spirit work in a powerful way in people’s lives and we believe prayer is a great way to start.

Sunday at 9:30am and after the Worship Service: Although there is not always an alter call during our Sunday morning services there is always the opportunity to have someone pray with you. Before the service the prayer teem meets in the prayer room. Following the service we have a team of people who either meet in the fellowship hall (connected to the sanctuary) or in the prayer room (first classroom off the gym). Their desire is to lift YOU up in prayer. If you are ever in need of people lifting you up this is a great place to go.

Weekday Morning’s 5:30 AM: Every weekday morning a group of people meet at the Blank family’s house to start the morning in prayer. We enjoy coffee (which for some of us is the only way we stay awake that early) and always feel encouraged to go on with our days.

Men’s Monthly Prayer/Breakfast: Watch in your bulletin or on the Special Events page for the dates each month. The men of our church are learning to take 1 Timothy 2:8 every seriously. God desires men to lead their families in a walk with Him. After praying the men enjoy stuffing their face at Shady Maple Smorgasbords.

Other Prayer Opportunities: we also on occasion will have prayer walks, prayer and worship nights and many other prayer times. Keep your ears open for these. We also desire to at one point have someone praying for MCC around the clock.

Prayer List/E-mail List: Every week we publish a prayer list in the church bulletin. We ask that everyone pray over the different prayer concerns that have been lifted up. We will also send e-mail’s to the people in our congregation to update them during the week of other things that need prayer. If you would like to add something to the prayer list please fill out the form below and the church Administator will send it to the proper group.
